The students of Community Learning Center Academy were hosted by Clearwater Community Volunteers to celebrate International Chefs Day.
Chef Zoltan and Chef Barry, executive chefs from the Fort Harrison Hotel and Chef Rene Marquis from the American Culinary Federation taught the students about making nutritious choices and introduced them to some exotic fruits.
These fruits included jack fruit, star fruit, rambutan and dragon fruit. The students also got to try some ginger.
Chef Rene is an award winning chef that is part of the US Culinary Olympic team that competes in Germany each year. He and the other team members train for competition at the Fort Harrison Hotel.
