Today we honored the Community Learning Center Academy students with Academy Awards.  (At least our version of Academy Awards!)

Each student was presented with a unique award – awards ranging from Outstanding Academic Achievement to Sunshine Award.  These awards are given based on each students strengths in different areas, both in and out of the classroom. 

Each student was also presented with their certificate for passing their grade this school year.

We had performances from the school choir led by Roxy Miller, Community Learning Center Academy’s singing teacher.  We also had a student perform a song on his guitar.

Rounding out the Academy Awards was a presentation from Clearwater Family Dental awarding three students The Way to Happiness Award.  The students that earned these awards exemplified the principles in The Way to Happiness, a common sense guide to a better living.  These students embodied the following precepts:

Take Care of Yourself

Honor and Help Your Parents

Set a Good Example

Be Worthy of Trust

Be Industrious

Be Competent

and

Try to Treat Others as You Would Want Them to Treat You

Very Well Done to all the students and a huge thanks to the teachers and staff that helped them throughout the school year!
